Access quality dental care with DVA benefits
At TC Dental, we’re honoured to care for the oral health of those who’ve served our country. As a dental provider under the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) program, we offer dedicated, high-quality care to eligible veterans.
If you hold a Veteran Gold Card or a Veteran White Card, you may be entitled to a wide range of fully funded dental services, designed to keep your smile healthy, comfortable, and strong.

Dental services covered by DVA
DVA-funded dental services are designed to support and maintain the health of your teeth, gums, and overall oral wellbeing. At TC Dental, we’re committed to delivering gentle, effective care tailored to your individual needs. Depending on your eligibility, services may include:
- Regular dental checkups and professional teeth cleaning
- Preventive care to protect against tooth decay and gum disease
- Restorative treatments such as fillings, crowns, and bridges
- Full or partial dentures, including reline (every 2 years) and replacement (every 6 years or sooner if needed)
- Treatment for dental injuries, infections, or oral health conditions
- Care from approved dental professionals, including dental hygienists, oral health therapists, and dental therapists
Who can access DVA dental benefits?
You may be eligible for DVA-funded dental services if you have an assessed clinical need and either:
- A Veteran Gold Card (all conditions covered), or
- A Veteran White Card, where the treatment is for an accepted service-related condition
If you’re unsure about your eligibility, you can call 1800 VETERAN (1800 838 372).

Do you need to pay for your treatment?
In most cases, you will not need to pay for dental treatment covered under DVA. However, some high-cost dental items (like specific types of crowns or bridges) are subject to an Annual Monetary Limit (AML) of $2,920.05 (as of 2025).
You may need to pay a co-payment only if your treatment exceeds this limit and you are not exempt.
You are exempt from the AML and won’t need to make co-payments if:
- You are an ex-prisoner of war (POW)
- Your treatment is for an accepted service-related condition
- Your treatment is for malignant cancer affecting your teeth or jaw

Additional things you should know
Regular dental checkups are usually scheduled every 6 months. If your oral health requires more frequent visits, we may request approval from DVA on your behalf.
If your dentures are lost or broken, DVA may fund a replacement. We’ll assist with the necessary paperwork, which may include a signed declaration.
DVA services can also be accessed through your myGov account.
